1. Who we are

Washington Healthcare PLC ("we", "us") operates this Careers & Candidate Portal to receive and manage employment applications. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide here, and we process it in accordance with the Ethiopian Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024 and applicable law.

2. What we collect

• Account data: email address and a securely hashed password.
• Profile data: name, phone, city, current job title, specialty, experience, education, skills.
• CV data: the CV file you upload and the structured CV entries you create (education history, work experience, certifications).
• Application data: the vacancies you apply to, cover notes, application status history, interview/exam appointments and results, and evaluation scores recorded by our recruitment panel.
• Technical data: session cookies necessary for signing in (no advertising or tracking cookies).

3. Why we process it

We process your data solely for recruitment: assessing your suitability for vacancies, contacting you about your applications, scheduling interviews and assessments, keeping fair and auditable hiring records, and — where you create job alerts — emailing you about matching openings. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Who can see it

Your profile and applications are visible to Washington Healthcare's recruitment team and the hiring managers involved in the vacancies you apply to. Where an external panel member evaluates your application, they access only a limited summary (name, title, specialty, experience, skills, and the position) through a private, expiring link — never your CV file or contact details. We do not share your data with third parties except where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

Your account and profile remain active until you ask us to delete them. Application records (including evaluations) are retained as part of our recruitment records to meet legal, audit, and equal-opportunity obligations. If you join the Talent Pipeline, we keep your profile so we can contact you about future roles.

6. Your rights

You may access and correct your profile and CV at any time from your dashboard. You may request a copy of your data, restriction of processing, or deletion of your account by contacting our HR team; we will respond within the timelines required by law. Deleting your account removes your profile, CV, and bookmarks; anonymized application statistics may be retained.

7. Security

Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. CV files live outside public web access and are served only to authenticated recruitment staff. All form submissions are protected against cross-site request forgery, and access to administrative functions is restricted and logged.
